When I first entered the sex work industry—what I like to call my "baby hooker" days—I lacked direction, goals, and a clear sense of purpose. I spent a couple of years floating through the business, making money and spending it … as quickly as it came in, it went out, then I'd be right back to work with $0 in my account the next day. just as fast. I had no idea about money and how to manage it, I hadn't created a clear identity of who I was in the industry and had no clear goals to direct me. It wasn’t long before I realised I needed to make a change.
That realisation inspired me to create this blog, where I share the lessons I’ve learnt along the way and incorporated into my business as a sex worker.
You Are Your Business
First things first: you are your business.
You’re it baby - your name, how you dress, the service you give and prices you charge. As soon as you recognise this, you will learn to run your business effectively and efficiently so you can get the most out of your career in the industry.
Defining Your Identity
Your identity is the foundation of your business. Choose a name that suits your personality and aligns with the services you offer. Your name is crucial—it’s your brand, so make it memorable and relatable. (Check out my other post on the importance of a name for more insights.)
Next, build your image. Consider your vibe:
Choose clothing, accessories, and a personal style that reinforce this identity. Whether it’s elegant simplicity, designer couture, or playful and colourful, make sure it authentically represents you.
Now that you have created your identity in the industry let’s talk about why most of us join and it’s the money baby!

So learn to get smart with your finances, learn about money, take a seminar or short course about finances and really learn to manage your money . Map out a plan where your starting and where you want to finish off financially.

So let’s just say, I don’t have any days where my bank account says $0 anymore, I have paid for qualifications to fall back onto in two different fields if I was to leave tomorrow. I’ve been able to travel and see some of the world. I’ve successfully started 3 businesses one is my career in the industry so I’ve gained knowledge that I can now adapt into any other business I decide to run in the future. Most importantly I’ve had a lot of fun, heaps of crazy wild memories that I won’t ever be able to forget and if I was to leave the industry tomorrow I can happily walk away with no regrets. So have fun and get what you want out of your time in the industry that can look however you wish it to. Set goals achieve dreams have a good time ... and make heaps of money to set yourself up for life!
